A group of military and veterans will run 911 miles in 8 days, from New York City to Atlanta. The event is intended to give a voice to veterans who returned home with traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorders. The public event set a $250,000 fundraising goal, and supports the SHARE Military Initiative of the Shepherd Center, a physical medicine and rehabilitation center in Atlanta, Georgia.
At this time, 13 men will do the run, starting April 16 and ending in Atlanta April 26. The schedule is online.
