"Shepherd's Men" to run 911 Miles for Veterans with TBI/PTSD

Many veterans return with TBI and PTSD, but many others suffer undiagnosed problems that can lead to alcoholism, drug abuse and addiction.

A group of military and veterans will run 911 miles in 8 days, from New York City to Atlanta. The event is intended to give a voice to veterans who returned home with traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorders. The public event set a $250,000 fundraising goal, and supports the SHARE Military Initiative of the Shepherd Center, a physical medicine and rehabilitation center in Atlanta, Georgia.

At this time, 13 men will do the run, starting April 16 and ending in Atlanta April 26. The schedule is online.

A media contact has been established for the event. Contact Glynda Thor at (770) 335-5693 or via her contact page.
