2017 Prescription Drug Take-Back Results for Georgia

Georgia's collection sites delivered on the challenge to remove unwanted prescription drugs from circulation

The 12th National "Drug Take Back Day" in 2017 saw a huge amount of unwanted prescription medications, illegal drugs, and expired drugs removed from homes and neighborhoods throughout Georgia. This event recovered 7,687 pounds of unwanted medications, turned in by responsible citizens, at 64 local collection sites throughout Georgia. For fun reference, that's equivalent to the weight of nearly 3,500 liters of Coca Cola!
