Why Should You Care what the ADACBGA and IC&RC Are?

"Embracing and Enhancing Clinical Competency" is this year's conference theme.

You have probably never heard of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia (ADACBGA) or of International Credentialing & Reciprocal Credentialing (IC&RC). But if you or someone you love has been to detox or rehab, or if your children have been involved in drug and alcahol abuse prevention programs, you have probably benefited from what these organizations do. They certify professionals in the behavioral health field so people who need these services can be guaranteed the highest quality, best trained care givers. They also see to it that the latest information in these fields is made available to workers in the field, assisting them in keeping their knowledge and skills as current as possible.

Laura Riedlinger, the Community Relations Representative at the Sunrise Detox Center here in Alpharetta will be attending this critically important conference and bringing what she learns there back to any of our staff who may be working and unable to attend.

Sunrise Detox Centers is one of the sponsors for the 3rd Annual Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia (ADACBGA) Conference which will take place June 11-12, 2015 at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center (500 Powder Springs St, Marietta, Georgia, 30064). The conference theme is "Embracing and Enhancing Clinical Competency" and is open to all professional involved in the prevention, substance us treatment and recovery fields.

If you are employed in the behavioral health field, or considering doing so, this would be an excellent resource for you to acquaint yourself with the field.
